Nicola Paggi

Designer & Project Manager

I’m a designer and project manager working across interior, product and spatial design, with more than 10 years of international experience.

My work sits between creative vision and execution — from developing concepts and defining materials, details and atmospheres to coordinating teams, suppliers and construction on complex projects.

My background spans luxury interiors, hospitality, retail, residential and cruise ship interiors, working across Europe and Asia with designers, manufacturers, craftsmen, contractors and international clients.

Over the years, my work has developed through projects at different scales and in very different contexts. In 2017, I exhibited at Milan Design Week with Quiubox, a mobile workshop designed with Boano Prišmontas to support Afro-Colombian communities facing rising sea levels and limited resources. The project received international attention and was selected by ArchDaily among the best projects of 2018, with coverage across publications including Domus, Dezeen, Archello, Architizer, Dwell and Elle Decor Italia.

My experience in Asia also includes China, where I was interviewed at the International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) in Shenzhen, contributing to an international design and cultural exchange between Europe and China.

More recently, I brought this design perspective into large-scale shipbuilding as an Area Manager & Outfitting Project Manager at MEYER WERFT in Wismar, managing the delivery of complex public areas for a newbuild cruise ship. Working across design, engineering, procurement, suppliers and construction, I was responsible for translating design intent into coordinated, buildable results. The Wismar shipyard was subsequently recognised as Shipyard of the Year at the 2025 Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI) Awards.

I’m particularly interested in projects where design, craftsmanship, technology and strong project coordination come together to create meaningful spaces and experiences.

After years working between design studios, independent practice and large-scale projects, I approach each project with the same principle: good design should not only look right — it should work, be buildable, and stand the test of time.

Based between Italy and Europe, I’m currently exploring new collaborations and opportunities within interior architecture, design management and high-end spatial projects.
