The project explores a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Umbrian dwelling, using natural materials, restrained geometries and carefully framed openings to establish a strong connection with the surrounding landscape.

Monolithic Roman Travertine Washbasin & Top
A monolithic washbasin carved entirely from a single block of Roman Travertine, conceived as a continuous expression of stone, material and craftsmanship.
The washbasin is sculpted directly from the solid block, preserving the natural character of the travertine while creating a precise, seamless form. The same stone extends into a 320 × 160 cm countertop, crafted from one single piece, allowing the entire surface to maintain an uninterrupted visual and material continuity.
Each vein, void and variation in the stone becomes an intrinsic part of the design, making every piece unique. Rather than assembling separate elements, the project explores the idea of subtracting from a solid mass, revealing the final form through the removal of material.
The result is a sculptural yet functional piece, where the weight and permanence of Roman Travertine are balanced by the precision of contemporary design.
